Aubrey belongs to this kind of artists who give an intelligent meaning to the word “activism”. At the beginning of the 90’s, he founded his label Solid Groove with his mate Mark Ambrose. Few months ago he created a new one called Dot. During more than 20 years he never stopped producing with a really high rhythm! Even if he has always had a home to release his tracks, he also signed on labels as Ferox, Mosaic or Komplex De Deep. Producing techno and acid like a gentleman, we thought more than relevant to put forward a career made with a concern of integrity and quality. Nowadays, Aubrey is not touring a lot but he is still prolific and our new generation does not always know his work. Consequently, it was normal for us to ask him a Phonocast in order to share his vision of music. Good listening.
Aubrey appartient à ce genre d’artistes qui donnent encore un sens intelligent au mot activisme. Dans les 90’s, il crée son label Solid Groove avec son ami Mark Ambrose. Il y a peu de temps il a monté son propre label Dot. Durant plus de 20 ans il n’a jamais cessé de produire et à un rythme très soutenu. Même s’il a toujours eu une maison pour sortir ses morceaux, il a également signé sur des labels tels que Mosaic, Ferox ou Komplex De Deep. Produisant de la techno et de l‘acid tel un gentleman, nous avons pensé pertinent de mettre en avant une carrière menée avec un souci d’intégrité et de qualité. De nos jours, Aubrey ne tourne plus énormément cependant, il n’en demeure pas moins prolifique et la nouvelle génération que nous sommes ne connait pas forcément sont travail.
