PTA, Preslav Lefterov, Thomas Cox alias Pipecock et Adam Ratana incarnent sûrement le trio qui pèse le plus à Pittsburgh, mais mis à part Pittsburgh c’est surtout un trio qui fait de la house d’une qualité peu commune. Au delà d’une revendication territoriale affirmée, les trois amis disposent d’une signature qui se caractérise par un son chaud et une connaissance musicale s’étendant sur un spectre large qui leur permet de jouer sur une palette de styles variés. Ils l’ont déjà illustré à merveille au travers d’Enter The Machine Edge, malgré la profusion d’idées et d’influences qui les traversent, ils ne sont pas du genre à se disperser inutilement. PTA also known as Preslav Lefterov, Thomas Cox alias Pipecock and Adam Ratana embody what probably is the most relevant underground guarantor entity from Pittsburgh, but excluding the Pittsburgh thing, it mostly is a trio producing rare quality house tunes. Beyond the territory claim, the three artists benefit from a proper signature caracterized by a warm sound and a musical knowledge spread on a very wide spectrum which allows them to play on a various range of style. They already illustrated it wonderfully on Enter The Machine Age, despite the huge amount of ideas and influences they gather, PTA are not the kind of crew to get lost unnecessarily amongst abundance of references.
