Alex From Tokyo pourrait-être une définition du mot cosmopolite à lui tout seul: né en France, élevé au Japon, ce passionné de musique sillonne la planète depuis de nombreuses années maintenant. A Paris, il avait fait les belles heures de Radio FG avec ses acolytes DJ Gregory et Dj Deep grâce à l’emission A Deep Groove qui a marqué au fer rouge de nombreux diggers. Ce Dj et producteur est également connu, car il a joué un rôle clé de connecteur entre des artistes du monde entier et le Japon. S’il a toujours une résidence régulière à Tokyo, il vit aujourd’hui à NYC ou vous pouvez régulièrement le voir jouer au Cielo ou au Bain. Côté production, le projet collaboratif commencé en 2000 avec Isao Kumano a fait son chemin. En effet, Tokyo Black Star, a sorti sur Innervisions, Deeply Rooted House ou encore Apt. International et réalisé des remix pour Tony Allen, Master H, Kuniyuki, Carl Craig ou encore Frederic Galliano. A côté de ça il est l’un des fondateur d’une marque pour audiophile Phonon qui met l’accent sur la restitution exact du son tel qu’il devrait être entendu. Malgré toutes ses activités, il sortira mi- aout, “Originals vol.10 compiled by Alex from Tokyo” sur le label londonien Claremont 56. Alex From Tokyo a eu la gentillesse de nous faire un Phonocast. Le set a été enregistré à l’ancienne avec 2 platines vinyles en direct du studio de l’artiste dans le Lower East Side à NYC au pied du Williamsburg Bridge. Bonne écoute !

In Paris he contributed to the golden age of Radio FG broadcasting high quality electronic music with his partners in crimes Dj Gregory and Dj Deep through the program A Deep Groove which gave its imprint to a lot of diggers. This artist is also known because he had a major role connecting artists from all over the world with Japan. If he still plays regularly in Tokyo, he now lives in NYC where you can easily go to listen to him at Cielo or Le Bain. On the production aspect, we can see that the collaborative project with Isao Kumano made a long way.
